Fence or Wall for Nursery

It is essential that all types of animals are totally excluded from the nursery site and hence a fence or wall must be built. A stone wall of 1.8-meter height is ideal. It should be about 45cm thick, with 60cm below ground and 120cm above, when measured from outside, and with a layer of thorny shrubs on top of it. Stone wall is effective and long lasting. Other materials must be used where stone is not available. The barrier must be strong and big enough to keep all large animals out. A goat-proof site is best for entrance, because there is then no danger from gate. Make the entrance a simple one which is easy to open and close, a complicated gate is much more likely to be left open. Barbed wire fence with intermittent concrete pillars are also ideal for small areas.

Different types of implements are necessary for nursery operations which includes mainly kurfi, pickaxe, mammatty, sickle, billhook, raker, showel etc.
