I was not looking for excellent quality here, but hoping for at least decent ones. However, this dried shiitake was way below my expectations.
I don’t think it was properly dried. Shiitake was soft and easily folded without breaking it. Haven’t seen this level softnes before. Also most of them are very flat as it’s almost smashed at the bottom of huge bag. Never go for this product if you dont want to waste your money.

Having tried out shiitake mushrooms from various sources these are easily at the bottom of the ranking -good quality ones are well dried out, retain their mushroom shape, do not smell musty, and have a firm light brown cap with white markings. these are shriveled, not fully dried out and dark brown all over. I will have to dry them out in the oven, and guess what, the 500 gm weight will probably become 400-450 grams 😀
