At first I was sceptical, thinking that this might be some Chinese junk, but a friend told me that Python is an Indian company supplying around the world. So I called for the Python 3 G 440GMS indestructible axe. I am happy that I bought it, just the feel in your hand is so good. It is of superior quality, light, sharp and well balanced. Made light work of the unwanted branches that I needed to chop off. A simple, but clever cover helps you to carry the axe easily and prevents any accidents. I am 100% satisfied. Now, I have called for their pick axe. Proud to be Indian and to buy a quality Indian product. Thank you Python.

It’s a nice little Axe which is lightweight and good performance. Takes little effort. Cutting edge went dull? Just file it or use a sandpaper. Personally, I don’t like the cover (the top part where there’s a hole for hanging), takes more space.

First delivery was older version of this axe. Holding block for this axe was completely broken. There was chipping on the axe. So sending for replacement.
Second delivery was of latest version of this axe and proper plastic holder. This is much better in finish. There is no sharp edge on it which is understandable. Before first use , we had to do sharpening. Overall product looked a lot like Fisker’s axe.

I am writing this review after a full season of exhaustive usage of this axe. It is the right amount of sharp, durable (chopped hard oak wood regularly) easy to wield but what I love most about this axe is its weight and size. No fuss, you can carry this with rest of the gear; sleeping bag, mats, tent, clothes, food, etc.

Great product, thank you Amazon. As a blade lover and knife maker I can tell that this is a good camp hatchet. Sturdy, compact n awesome but one thing is that the handle wouldn’t be able to take the impact that the axe head can. Good for chopping, spliting and cutting down 6-8 inch diameter tree, not for tremendous or over heavy work. Great hatchet! If you’re looking for a heavy work axe, get the 17 inch or the 27 inch python axe.
