- The Fiddle Leaf Fig thrives in bright, consistent, and indirect sunlight. A few hours of morning sun is also good for your plant; however, avoid direct peak sun. Fiddle Leaf Fig starts leaning towards the light source, so make sure you keep turning your plant to ensure even growth.
- You can propagate your Fiddle Leaf Fig by a leaf or a stem cutting. Choose a cutting that is at least 6-8 inches in size and includes at least one leaf node. Then cuttings can be rooted either in water or soil and the roots emerge from leaf node.
- The Ficus Lyrata likes to grow in a compact pot, so repot only when the plant becomes root bound. The best time to repot your Fiddle Leaf Fig is during spring. Choose a pot that is 2 to 3 inches larger in diameter than your current pot and avoid repotting in winters as the plant growth is naturally slower.

Here are my main obesrvations:
Good:
– Healthy plant.
– The pot looks good. (but read further on the quality of the pot)
Not so great:
– Potting has been done poorly. The plant is not at centre and already tilting towards one side.
– The quality of the pot isn’t great. It’s flimsy for one.
– It doesn’t hold water properly. Even a little bit of extra water flows out of the bottom tray.
– Overpriced. Unfortunately, I found it only after purchasing the plant. Slightly bigger size Fig plants are available at nearly half the price, in the local nuseries.
Overall, we are happy with having this beautiful plant come home. However, the service from Ugaao leaves us wanting more.

Plant arrived dusty and a few yellow leaves but then, plants aren’t designed to travel. Otherwise well packed, decent self watering pot and a reasonable sized plant for the price. Looks good after cleaning and a day in bright indirect light.
