UGAOO Spider Plant Indoor Live with Self Watering Pot (4 Inch – Small)

Loved the spider plant, but soil was completely dried out, even after taking lot of good care, plant didn’t survive.

The UGAOO Spider Plant is a beautiful indoor plant, and the self-watering pot is a nice touch, along with the fancy packaging. However, I found it to be quite pricey for what it is. While it looks great, it requires more attention and care than I anticipated, which is challenging for someone with a busy lifestyle. If you’re looking for a low-maintenance option, this might not be the best choice. Overall, it’s a lovely plant but may not justify the cost for those who can’t dedicate the time it needs.

I ordered the plant on 28 July 2020, received it on 03 August 2020, 5 days in transport.

The packaging was sturdy and solid.

Condition of the plant on Day 1 :

Plant height is 4.5 inches, though Ugaoo mentioned in the description that the Plant height without the pot is 7 to 9 inches.

Pot height is 4 inches and the same is written in the description too.

The self-watering system is working fine and the capillary action takes place very efficiently.

Few leaves (5-6) around the corners are already dead, leaves at the center are in good health.
The overall plant doesn’t look in its prime condition.
At this price of 325/- I was expecting a more healthy and bigger plant when you can easily assemble the pot and plant from a local nursery under 100 bucks.

We have to water the plant twice a week. So fingers crossed, it doesn’t look very promising to be true that my plant will survive. Will keep updating this review with each passing day.

Overall not a good first impression from Ugaoo. I was planning to order more Indoor plants from Ugaao but I am delaying that plan and waiting for this one to survive to take any further action.

2nd Week Update:

So after 14 days of ultra care, finally the plant survived. Though I had to keep it outside for a few days, of course, in indirect sunlight. New leaves are coming out and the plant is growing, so it was a successful purchase from Ugaao, though not up to the mark, only satisfactory.

Updating my initial review from 2-star to 3-star. One quick tip in the end, for the one complete cycle of the week, keep the plant inside for 5 days, and for the remaining 2 days keep it outside for plant to get some fresh air and first light (indirect) from the sun.

O had ordered two spider plants – one of them did not come in good shape . It was already yellow and in dying condition. I repotted the plant immediately in a bigger pot to make it live and added vermicompost to save it . But in no luck . I am uploading the present picture of the plant where it is dying already .

The other plant is in okayish condition . Jot very healthy , but it’s fighting . Attached for reference

With both the plant i believe the plants weren’t healthy – both of them had many yellow and all dropping leaves .

I would request the brand to ensure while you are sending please send a healthy plant . A plant lover like me likes to see healthy plant and nourish it . If the plant is already is a bad shape it is very difficult to reverse the process however skilled and patience one is .

Spider plant is one of the plants which doesn’t die on you . So if it is – then the vendor is at fault.
