- t is a small to medium-sized deciduous shrub or tree, ranging from 3 m to 15 m in height but also reaching up to 18 m.
- It is a slow to moderate-growing plant. Plants commence flowering when about 5–8 years old. It grows in a wide range of soil types ranging from arid, semi-arid, gravely or rocky soils and moist regions, especially on dry sandy sites or hillsides and valleys.
- In Ayurveda and other traditional medicine practices, the plant is called shwetha kutaja and its seeds are called indrayava or indrajava.
- The sap has an interesting preservative property since ‘if a few drops of sap are added to milk, the milk will remain fresh without the necessity of keeping it on ice, the taste remaining unaltered. The seeds, roots and leaves furnish an indigo-yielding glucoside used for dyeing cloth.

The packet contained 50 plus 60 free equal to 110 seeds plus one packet seed germinator and one packet seed food. Followed the instructions and the seeds (about 60) germinated within a week. Therefore as far as this purchase is concerned am fully satisfied. Recommended.
