- Acacia Nilotica, also known as Acacia Arabica, gum arabic tree, Babul can be found in tropical and subtropical Africa and Asia. Acacia Nilotica is a tree of 5–20 m high. Babul tree is a drought tolerant tree but will tolerate only light frost. The crown is low and can be flattened or a rounded umbrella-shape. It is also know for its medicinal uses.
- Seedlings are shade intolerant.
- SEED : GERMINATION PERCENTAGE : 80 to 90 %, GERMINATION PERIOD IN DAYS : 7 to 30 days.
- Easy to Grow – Can be grown in indian climate/weather conditions.Do not use for food, feed, or oil purposes,Seeds are only for Agriculture and plantaion purpose.
- NURSERY TECHNIQUE : Seedlings are raised in polythene bags by sowing the treated seeds about 1.5 cms deep .Excess watering is avoided after 2 months. Shade is provided to avoid surface cracking.

I had planted almost 100 seeds in potting cups putting in 1 seed in each cup. Out of these only 5 germinated but post germination they died. Don’t know what went wrong.
